Life These Days - Random updates

Right after I decided to go back to school at night and contacted the schools I was interested in my chronic fatigue disease kicked in. Frankly I spend a crap ton of time trying to NOT fall asleep.  So I have put that on hold for the time being.  I will look back into it come this Summer semester. Working 60 - 70 hours a week then going to class 3 nights a week and all day Saturday is just a recipe for disaster right now.

I did join a new facebook fitness challenge - strangely enough getting more exercise helps chronic fatigue. It runs from today until March 31st.  After that I will see how I am doing and feeling then perhaps join the 2nd wave as well.

This past weekend I did finally replace my running shoes. I got a very loud pair of Brooks Runners - they are awesome. The louder the running shoe the better.

I also had plans last Saturday to get a daith piercing in hopes of helping my headaches.  I found out my ears are way to tiny to attempt that piercing so I left with a tragus piercing.  Everything was all good - get ready for bed that night and just the suddenly remember I cant sleep without ear plugs... HA that has been interesting.  

Hell froze over, I broke down and purchased Justin Biebers new CD.. Its actually a really good cd.. Who knew?

I think the biggest news I have gotten lately is I am gonna be a Noni again.. Newest grandbaby is due August 25th!!!  I'm pretty sure its a girl... I'm pretty sure my bank account is crying!

See ya, no seriously, you can seriously GO now.. I am tired of being bone chilling cold!

I have 3 boxes left to pack and the closet to straighten up and then I am DONE.. Not bad from just moving in last weekend. Now if I could just locate my wedding album!

Plan for this weekend as the snow storm rolls in, grocery shop tonight after work - not because of the possible 6 inches of snow, but because we are low on food stuffs. Hair cut tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow afternoon we are supposed to go to my sister in laws to hang out and make soup - that is totally going to depend on the weather. Sunday my plan is to do not one damn thing!! I want to wear sweats, sit on the couch and watch TV.  Its been a crazy ass week and I just want to veg.

That whole the dress that got the internet fighting can stop now - Mashable has done 7 or 8 articles on that fucking dress alone.. Way to be legit Mashable!

And With That Summer Was Gone..... and an Explanation...

I can not believe Summer is over already - well the last official weekend of Summer anyhow. My facebook feed is packed with "thank goodness Fall is coming" - one person even put up the official count of 22 days or something like that... BLECK.

No I don't care that Starbucks now has Pumpkin Spice Lattes back or that soon the trees will be turning and the Holiday season is around the corner.. Sorry not sorry I am a tank and flips sorta gal so I dread - just dread colder weather. Two things I like about fall - scarfs - and if I can wear them with a tank and maxi all the better and darker nail polish! Cute boots used to be on this list, but I could NOT find ones I really like the past 2 years so we are in fight.

 Yes, I did hit the dark nail polish already.. Thought I have been known to rock it in July as well. Just when September hits no one looks at you funny.  I will also admit to wearing some new sweats, they are super soft yet not real heavy and were perfect when the thunder storm hit and I got a little chilled.

So I have been MIA for about 5 weeks or so, I had a lot going on, there were a TON of changes going on in my life. My daughter and grandbaby have moved in with D and I. That has been an adjustment. A HUGE adjustment.  So at the moment I am trying to get into a somewhat normal pace.

I also wanted to catch my breath and figure out if I wanted to continue blogging. I have been blogging off and on since 2005 - that is a long fricken time..

In the beginning I think I had 3 readers total so this blog was really just a digital journal for my eyes only. I threw everything on here and censored nothing.  I still don't really censor anything but I do keep in mind when I am posting that I have more than 3 readers now and that tossing everything out there like a WWE match is probably not the best idea. I have also taken some posts down that were published in that particular format.

I came to the conclusion that I like blogging actually and that there may not be a rhyme or reason to what I put up or how and that is fine, its what makes it mine. So what if I do a 2 week stint of random posts or my titles don't match any of my content. Last time I checked I am pretty fricken quirky any way ;-)!

The one with no title

This post is pretty much just going to be random. I have hit a wall with actual things to talk about.

I have been pretty busy - blarg haven't we all.

Saturday was gorgeous out so D and I grabbed the camera and went on a short hike- pics to come later in the week - they are still on the SD Card.

I have noticed lately when drama comes I just start shutting down. There has been so much of it - it's not even really not our drama but I absorb it and feel bad because I am in the middle and feel like the other 2 parties involved expect me to fix it - only I can't. Neither of them "see" anything but their point/position. I hate my phone ringing anymore.

It is time to update the look of the blog again - maybe that will help get things flowing. I have noticed a trend in the blogging community - lots of us have hit a wall recently.

I need a vacation no one knows I took therefor can't find me to bitch or ask favors of me.

I know when the phone rings that all they want is to complain or ask a favor so my response when I answer the phone isn't exactly warm and it shows then the caller is upset.

I have no idea how to change any of it...

Random Thursday ....

I am all over the place this morning so BAM random Thursday!!

I was out late last night, til almost midnight - not gonna complain though I spend the evening with 2 dear friends I had not seen in a long time.  It was a laid back evening with home made pizza and hours of conversation.

This morning however looks like this .....

Speaking of Starbucks ... or as it is referred to in my house ... The House Of Bucks, I received an email yesterday that Starbucks was selling the limited release of the Deluxe Edition of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis The Heist (3 bonus songs and artwork cards that have not been released) - that hands down in my favorite CD in the past few years. It lives in the CD player in my car. So I HAD to have this. It was only released to a limited number of stores in a very small amount. 

Yesterday I stopped by one of the stores that is directly on my way home (there are 3 in a 10 block radius of my house, no I am not kidding) and they had no clue as to what I was talking about.  I was on a time schedule to meet with friends so I had to post pone stopping at the other 2 locations. 

So this morning I pop into my regular store (the one closest to my house) and found it there!! YAY so excited.. SO I grab the largest coffee they sell and my CD and head to work..

Castle, My Oh My and Victory Lap are the bonus or "B Sides" - Love them as much as I do the rest of the CD - yes its already been ripped to my PC at work and on repeat LOL... 

Tonight I have a hair appointment - have to get those roots taken care of...  I am looking forward to Friday and the weekend - I feel like I have been going 100 miles an hour this week..  

  

Randoms

 July has hit Kansas City with a vengeance. Today's high is 97 with a heat index of 103 - though I will take that over 20 degrees and 2 feet of snow any day!

This week we started Eating Clean. We are going with that whole 80/20 theory. 80% of the time we will be eating clean and 20% we can splurge.

Last night I made a Chicken Chop Salad that was awesome. I was hesitant going in because there are sweet potatoes in it. I am not a huge fan - though I will say its probably because growing up I though they only came out of cans, were baked to an inch of their life and had marshmallows burnt on top of them ;-)

Everything in that is clean, even the dressing which I made from scratch. It was even better this afternoon for lunch at work. 

Tonight we are doing Cheese Ravioli in a bell pepper sauce.

In the last 2 week both D and I got new phones after ours gave up the good fight and begged to be retired. Since then we have both had voicemail issues which no one can figure out. D's off today so he is headed into the store to see if he can figure out whats what. I will say thankfully mine are still coming to the phone. My visual voicemail just won't work. D's voicemail is so broken that he gets a message that his box doesn't even exist.

I have a random bruise that showed up on the top of my hand, no earthly clue what I banged into I just know its sore as hell.

This song is stuck in my head - has been for 3 days now.. I'm still trying to get past the fact Alan Thicke is his dad....

Looking forward to hitting the gym after work tonight...

Midweek info overload and photo dump

Yeah I admit the title is a fancy way of saying I got a lot of rambling going on ;)

I'm starting to really cuss Google for taking away Google Reader - I fricken LIKE the fact all the blogs I read are on my dashboard and I don't have to go to another site to see who's updated I log into Blogger I read I update I refresh the page and read some more.. I have been in denial that its going away then for a few days I was like meh who cares now its the 29th and I CARE I CARE.. So eff you Google.

Sick of losing and gaining the same 3lbs each week, I bought a helper to break the cycle I have been in for 5 weeks now. Yes that is my mp3 player charging in the background for after work. (No I don't need 15 emails calling me a sell out so shoosh!)

Hello Mother Nature PLEASE fricken separate from Old Man Winter like post hasties - this shit is beyond old and I am sick of being cold!!!  It was not fair to give us an 80 degree day then snatch it back and leave snow..

Ok that rants over .. but seriously the ground hog said an early spring - so now I'm taking a hit out on that fuzzy lil bastard.

Saturday is the Diva Dash - may the knee gods smile on my knee. Its still not right after the surgery so this maybe a challenge - depending on how this goes it maybe my last 5k.

Princess Peep and Lil Man moved out last Thursday its been pretty quite the last few days .. Missing his laugh a lot. He is a really happy baby so his coos and laughs are constant.. The Hubs and I are picking him up on Sunday for a day out with Noni & Papaw. Looking forward to spending the day with him.

I have been asked if I am going to do a Q & A session on the blog ... email me your questions and I will get a post going for that.

Completely Random Tuesday

When faced with deciding between multiple choices  - its not the decisions themselves that are hard its the fact EVERYTHING comes with a consequence - can you live with the consequence is what you have to determine.

 No matter what you do someone will always find fault with you.

It's your life - only you have to look back at it when you get to the end and decide if you lived like you should have.

Its not how many times you fall on your ass, it's how many times you get back up. If you get back up just 1 more time than you fall its a success.

Bank accounts and possessions do not define you - its WHO you REALLY are that defines you.

If you ignore your life, it will ignore you right back.

Have a goal - don't just wander aimless, unless that is your goal then by all means get down with your bad self!

Quality friends are way better than quantity of so so friends.

If lots of people have the same opinion - maybe its NOT them it could possible be YOU.

When do something the same way every time and are not happy with the results - perhaps you need to change how you do it.

Be kind to yourself - some days you may just be the only one who is.
