Random Thursday ....

I am all over the place this morning so BAM random Thursday!!

I was out late last night, til almost midnight - not gonna complain though I spend the evening with 2 dear friends I had not seen in a long time.  It was a laid back evening with home made pizza and hours of conversation.

This morning however looks like this .....

Speaking of Starbucks ... or as it is referred to in my house ... The House Of Bucks, I received an email yesterday that Starbucks was selling the limited release of the Deluxe Edition of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis The Heist (3 bonus songs and artwork cards that have not been released) - that hands down in my favorite CD in the past few years. It lives in the CD player in my car. So I HAD to have this. It was only released to a limited number of stores in a very small amount.

Yesterday I stopped by one of the stores that is directly on my way home (there are 3 in a 10 block radius of my house, no I am not kidding) and they had no clue as to what I was talking about.  I was on a time schedule to meet with friends so I had to post pone stopping at the other 2 locations.

So this morning I pop into my regular store (the one closest to my house) and found it there!! YAY so excited.. SO I grab the largest coffee they sell and my CD and head to work..

Castle, My Oh My and Victory Lap are the bonus or "B Sides" - Love them as much as I do the rest of the CD - yes its already been ripped to my PC at work and on repeat LOL...

Tonight I have a hair appointment - have to get those roots taken care of...  I am looking forward to Friday and the weekend - I feel like I have been going 100 miles an hour this week..

Here's to the Weekend ...

Hello Holiday Season and Challenge kick off...  This greeted me this morning at Starbucks.

Yep its official Starbucks has kicked off the Holiday season... Now before I get emails about how I started a weight loss/toning challenge and then posted a Starbucks high calorie holiday drink - that cup contains nothing more than a Soy Latte that I generally just get on Friday's.

Its no secret its been one of "those" weeks around here.. This morning was just more of the same. My father in laws official diagnosis is Heart Failure. I'm trying to keep mom calm and positive. I have know lots of people to live long lives despite that diagnosis. It does mean lots of life style changes and a new normal, but its not a reason to toss your hands hands up and think might as keep on what I'm doing it makes no difference.. IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

It does reinforce to me the changes I have made over the last year and a reminder to keep them up and keep making new changes. We can always improve and strive to be better. We all have the same 1,440 minutes in a day - how are you using yours?

Weekend Shenanigans!

Sami's Shenanigans

Wow Monday again, already .. its a super short week for me so I'll make the best of it. I am off Thursday and Friday.

Friday I left the office early and hit the gym.  I have been hitting the treadmill for interval training and lifting. Loving the results from the lifting even though I just started a few weeks ago I already see a difference.

Got cleaned up and hit the local Mexican place for a good taco salad - minus the shell ;-) and hit Gtown to catch up with friends and family.

Saturday I got up with a headache took some meds to get that down to a dull roar then hit the gym again.  Saturday night found us at an annual find raiser a friend of mine holds calls Muggs for Juggs - it benefits the Susan G Koman Foundation 3 day walk. Its always a great time and this year was no exception.. There was an added treat of bagpipes being played by a few local firemen. Gotta love a firemen in a kilt..

Sunday we got up and had a quiet morning then I hit the nail salon for a much needed mani. After that it was off to the Plaza for a walk, Starbucks and a stop at the MAC store, I was out of my favorite eye shadow.

Friday Letters and stuff..

Hello Friday!!! How ya been, its nice to see you again!

Dear Mother Nature, thank you for the kick ass weather we had this week - I don't mind the rain so much when its warmer out and the next day is sunny and 70 out.

Dear Jillian, you are ruthless and I cuss you out often, but thank you for the quick results - for that you rock hard!

Dear Lil Man, please stop looking like such a big boy so fast.  I can't get over how much you look like a toddler in such a short time. Noni loves you so much.

Dear Cleaning Fairy - there the hell are you bitch?

So I pulled into the Starbucks drive thru this morning early - on Fridays if you don't get there earlier than normal you are either NOT getting your coffee or you are NOT getting to work on time so 6:45 this morning I was in line (yes, there was already a line) to get my coffee and in pulls this older lady. Thank goodness no one was in her way I think she would have shoved them out of her way to get in the door..

No, shes not SUPPOSED to be parked diagonally...  This is just cracked me up - and y'all thought I was bad when it comes to my coffee..

I seriously can not believe we have been "sheltering in place" for 6 freaking weeks now, and I say this as an "I'd rather...
