Three cheers for Friday! I know the other day's of the week get the shaft but whatcha gonna do... Friday is the best day of the 5 day work week.

Today's post is going to be pretty random - yes again... It takes skill to blog like you tweet ;-)

Hey did you know the first Porsche built was electric and that was in 1898, it had 3 hoursepower - It was the P1 and built by Ferdinand Porsche. The P1 has been sitting unseen in storage since 1902 - it has now been unearthed and is headed to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.. Full article if you are so inclined.

 Groundhog day is coming up - the only thing I have to say is I am sick of being cold..  Anyone know how we ending up with a "Whistle pig" telling us if winter was over or not? Why we celebrate Groundhog day. Yes, whistle pig is appropriate - "Groundhog," "woodchuck" and even "whistle pig" are different names for the same animal — Marmota monax, the largest species of ground squirrel in North America.

There is also a small, slight football game on Sunday - have you heard about it?

I went and bought new T-shirts, I have ordered the Alex and Ani Bronco's bracelet I wanted - it won't be here in time but no worries - I didn't buy it as game swag, I bought it because I wanted it.

Even went and got my "game day" mani...

My biggest problem is figuring out when I get to go to the bathroom - between the games and the cool ass commercials.. Usually I go during the game - but this year my team is playing so I can do that... Half time I guess. Since Ms. Jackson's nipples are always covered  why bother right.. joking calm down and no angry emails :-)

Yeah I am back to not being able to come up with blog titles - so back to the obscure music we go...


I'm still trying to get my energy back. Its now 1:21 in the afternoon and I could totally crawl in my desk drawer and take a nap.. I could use a least a bit of it to come back and soon - the next 2 weeks are going to be insane..  Most afternoons I am just exhausted.. The Flu sucks - and sucks your energy for WEEKS..

I have noticed how much effort I am putting into some relationships vs how much the other party is putting into it now that I have been kinda out of the loop for the past 2 weeks... I think its time to restructure some things. Frankly I am getting to old for the high school behavior.

I am looking forward to Sunday my team is playing in the big game.. Usually I just watch for the commercials!

I don't understand the court system in Italy - I guess they have overturned Amanda Knox's court case AGAIN and found her guilty, after over turning the guilty verdict last year and finding her innocent WTF?

Sorry I have been MIA - Saturday I woke up with what I thought was a cold and it turns out it was influenza ... Today is the first day I have even been up and out of bed.

I will be back with a normal post soon - I have a TON of work to catch up on at my office..

Dear Tom's of Maine: All natural my ass.. WTF is in your deodorant - my skin is now blistered and peeling.. all I wanted to is to find a deodorant with out aluminum free so my white shirts would stop turning yellow. Now I feel like I am part reptile, not to mention the blisters hurt. Pox on you!

 Dear Lauren Tannhill: Who the hell forgets an AR-15 in the back of a rental car?  Dear Judith Flessing, HOW do you not an AR-15 in the backseat of  the aforementioned rental car for 2 whole days? 

Dear Disney Channel: Get better programming  - I was at a friends house earlier this week and her 'tween was watching a show on your channel. The characters were complete smart asses and the way they slam each other for a joke does nothing to promote anti-bullying or respect. Shame on you!  

Dear Mother Nature: 73 days until warm weather, please please stick to the schedule! 

Dear Dolores: I know you used to have my cell number as yours, but lady its been 10 years. I'm tired of taking your collection calls, random people calling for you, strange texts. I will admit to full on belly laughing when the state called today looking for you and the lady who didn't quite believe me when I said I was not you so she launched into the reason why she was calling in an attempt to break me down so I'd admit to her I was in fact Dolores. She got to the part where your license has been suspended and I could not contain the laughter.. 

Hmm maybe that last one belongs down below in the giggles section!

Random Thursday ....

I am all over the place this morning so BAM random Thursday!!

I was out late last night, til almost midnight - not gonna complain though I spend the evening with 2 dear friends I had not seen in a long time.  It was a laid back evening with home made pizza and hours of conversation.

This morning however looks like this .....

Speaking of Starbucks ... or as it is referred to in my house ... The House Of Bucks, I received an email yesterday that Starbucks was selling the limited release of the Deluxe Edition of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis The Heist (3 bonus songs and artwork cards that have not been released) - that hands down in my favorite CD in the past few years. It lives in the CD player in my car. So I HAD to have this. It was only released to a limited number of stores in a very small amount. 

Yesterday I stopped by one of the stores that is directly on my way home (there are 3 in a 10 block radius of my house, no I am not kidding) and they had no clue as to what I was talking about.  I was on a time schedule to meet with friends so I had to post pone stopping at the other 2 locations. 

So this morning I pop into my regular store (the one closest to my house) and found it there!! YAY so excited.. SO I grab the largest coffee they sell and my CD and head to work..

Castle, My Oh My and Victory Lap are the bonus or "B Sides" - Love them as much as I do the rest of the CD - yes its already been ripped to my PC at work and on repeat LOL... 

Tonight I have a hair appointment - have to get those roots taken care of...  I am looking forward to Friday and the weekend - I feel like I have been going 100 miles an hour this week..  

  

The Day I Joined the 5 am Club

Out of necessity this week I have joined the 5 am club. I have pretty much booked myself every evening after work with something to do and somewhere to be. So instead of being a week off my 90 day Bikini Body Mommy challenge I started getting up at 5 am to work out. Who the hell am I??? I hate mornings, lets just get that out there right away. I am and have always been a night owl!

I will say this however, having my workout done for the day, first thing is NICE.. usually at the end of the day I am tired and I have 5 billion reasons excuses why I can't go workout.  When the alarm goes off in the mornings, as long as I don't allow myself to think about what ungodly time it is I am golden. Grab workout gear and go bang it out then hit the showers.

I am seriously considering keeping this as my new workout time. Get it done first thing in the morning and then go about my day. Plus if I have worked out first thing I have noticed I am pretty careful on what is going into my mouth. I don't want to have gotten up at the ass crack of dawn for nothing!!

We will see how this week plays out and if I get used to it or if I get overly tired and bitchy..

Where Did the Weekend Go??

I swear on Friday's at 5 pm the clock speeds up then Monday morning at 7 am it slows back down.. Not that I don't love going to work, I'm just over here thinking where did the time just go?

Friday night I started fighting sleep about 7 pm.I did mange to make it until about 9:30 . Saturday I got up about an hour and half after I usually do for work jumped out of bed and started my workout then went straight into deep cleaning the house.  I even scrubbed walls and baseboards!! Saturday night was date night, we went to out favorite Mexican place to celebrate D's best friends 37th birthday - they have been best buds since kindergarten. I may have been more than slightly buzzed - but I am pleading the 5th on that since I am still recovering from oral surgery - just know that K-Muchos makes a fricken kick ass peach frozen margarita.

I seriously need to get my roots done!

Why do sweaters make you look heavier than you are?

After dinner we went to T & K's and played a new game they bought which is like pictionary on steroids. At the moment I can't recall the name but basically you draw a picture based on the word you draw and then pass the dry erase book to the person on your right who then guess what you drew then they pass it on and the next person then draws what the previous person guessed and it goes on until you get your original book back then the answers/artwork is shared. Telephone for drawing basically. 

Sunday we pretty much chilled. It was awesome weather here - almost 70 so that afternoon we did head to the park and hang out with little man playing on the slides and swings until the poor lil dude walked in front of a swing and got kicked in the nose and mouth by a little girl... He is ok, but wasn't really happy with her! Her sister on the other hand let her have it.. 

He's beyond cute!!! This was actually Thursday evening before the swing incident.

My Bikini Body Mommy challenge is going well - I was thrilled to have a rest day Sunday though let me tell you.. The plan has you working out Monday - Saturday. By Saturday's workout you are trying to talk yourself up off the floor at the end of it!!! Week 1 is done, just 12 more to go!!! Summer bodies are built in the Winter!

So What Wednesday

That it is January - I'm sick of freaking freezing - I'm not saying it has to be 70 out but could it be more than 20??

So what if you have a fancy title - you still have to follow procedures, you my dear are NOT special I don't care what you think you're just not.  Next time you don't follow the process I am ignoring your request for a few hours. I have explained the steps twice now.

So what if I walk funny today - I killed that workout yesterday as your ass sat on the couch eating a bag of chips and a jar of cheese dip watching The Bachelor you have DVR-ed

If this is late - its been a heck of a morning around here... shaping up to be one of those weeks..

If I want a double cheese burger and fries for lunch ....... Salad is on the menu LOL

The Polar Vortex Can SUCK it .....

Not even gonna lie - this -10 before the windchill frankly sucks .. its this time of year that I have to try real hard to remember why I like Kansas City. Most of the year I love the city. Every single winter however I can't stand it. I hate the cold, the snow and am pretty much miserable.

I had been contemplating getting a sportier car. The first snow fall of the year hit however and I am now thinking about an SUV. Nothing huge because face it, it is just D and I. Yes, my car needs new tires, (which I will be getting in the next two weeks when my bonus comes in, instead of my tattoo - being a grown up sucks) but its still not the easiest vehicle to deal with in the snow. I don't see us going anywhere South anytime soon, we both have aging parents. So I pretty much think the sports car is out..

I have a follow up at 7:45 for my dental surgery. I am hoping to talk the dentist into taking the mesh off a week early. Its come lose and rubbing on my gum causing my gum to swell back up and its real sore. I am so ready to be over all this. I'd pull it off myself but part of its attached with my stitches.

In other news I am starting a Bikini Body Mommy challenge. In the though process of "Summer bodies are built in the Winter" I am using this to jump start the Summer fitness. Its a 90 day challenge which put it over at the start of Spring.   I am excited to see the results and be in shorts for the Summer!! What are you working on to jump start your Summer fitness??

Dear Mouth: Please Hurry up and heal... Yes I am the corner of "Oh man that hurts like a bitch" and "you paid good money for this" (read like the Walgreens commercials).

Dear Winter: The holiday's are over you may now leave, I'm flat out sick of being cold.

I am at the point in the season where I have to remind myself just WHY I live here.
