Tone 'em Tuesdays

Back at it.. For the past few weeks I have really just been relying on what I do in a normal day - which is generally is walking about a mile for general every day life.  I have still been watching what I eat (ok except last week - that was a regular fat girl in paradise) but haven't been super active.  Last night I hit the treadmill and weights again.  Tonight I have a date with Jillian. I am restarting Ripped in 30 because well its my favorite.

When I went grocery shopping Tuesday nothing but healthy hit the cart and I brought home a ton of veggies. I'll roast those tonight and quick stir fry some lean pork and have a pork and veggie stir fry over brown rice.

Last nights try something new (I get so bored with dinner because its all the SAME day after day) was cheesesteak stuffed green peppers and salad - these were a HUGE hit and will become a regular. I found the recipe on Pinterest and adapted it a tad I used thin cut eye of round steak instead of that processed steakums crap.  A pepper half is only 190 cals.

Pump it up Tues - Link up with

Its a fitness link up with Nicole at  GrubnMarriage - This Tues is fitness tools..

I use My Fitness Pal (MFP) where I log everything that I eat... (ok almost everything). Based on the goals I choose it tells me how much I am supposed to eat everyday.  I have the APP both on my phone and my computer.. Handy dandy lil tool..

I also use the Fitbit One - I love this lil gadget more than anyone should love a fitness gadget - it tracks my steps, how many stairs I have climbed, how active I have been, how I sleep (if I wear it at night) and how many calories I burn.  It also syncs with MFP and I only have to log things 1 time.  The only things I have to manually enter exercise wise are weights and circuit training type activities as the fitbit doesn't pick those up so well.

Circuit training - all of this belongs in the Jillian Michaels category - I have most of her DVD's and practice cussing her regular.

Progress update

I'm so close to goal its unreal... I realize now this mean I have to put thoughts into if this is actually my goal or if I want to take it a little further.  I'm not talking anything major just a 5 lb range to flux a little instead of trying to be ridged about it

I haven't been real ridge through this whole journey to begin with. I am not one of those types that deprive themselves of something because its "bad". I see people all the time posting they feel guilty because they had a tootsie roll.. Hell I don't, its a treat - its meant to be consumed once in awhile - what should make you feel bad or guilty is having an entire bag of tootsie rolls in a 15 minute time frame.

My thinking on this is if I am not going to indulge every once in awhile whats the point? Life is meant to be enjoyed not endured. Lighten up ladies - have the slice of cake, just don't call the whole cake a slice!

a few closer to goal pics - I don't know what it is bout I love the black and white - The bottom pic just wasn't my day - there is something 'off' about it..

Blog link up - a day in the life

Doing Holly's blog link up..

6:15 am the alarm goes off and the snooze button proceeds to get hi until 6:45 - so I think 4 or 5 times... I am NOT a morning person - in the quest to have a real functioning adult life though I no longer work a night shift. (Yes you can find night shift in the corporate world)

6:45am stumble to the bathroom use the potty and step on the scale - if I remembered to grab my glasses as I am falling out of bed (literally ours is up on 7' risers making it hip height for a 5'11 gal) determines on if I can see the display or not.

6:48 am head back to the bedroom and warn the hubs that the light is coming on - he covers his head with the blanket, find an outfit generally jeans, flats and a dressy than a T top.

7:00 am head to the bathroom to brush teeth and put make up on - touch up hair - some days this is totally dry shampoo and a quick pass of the flat iron on any section not behaving

7:10 (yes it really is just 10 mins and yes I do wear a full face of make up) head to the kitchen take vitamins, allergy pills. Prep my protein shake and if I made lunch the night before that from the fridge.

Anywhere between 7:10 and 7:20 head out the door for the drive to work - I pass 3 starbucks on the way to work - If I have left at 7:10 and feel like the calories are worth it that morning I will stop for a Grande Soy Latte

7:30 ish depending on what time I left arrive at the office and head upstairs - toss protein shake in the fridge and go log on my pc - check emails from the night before

8:00am the work day starts - not really going to say much about this because I don't blog about work - I will just say I love my job - I work in the field of IT management.

9 ish am drink my shake

11 ish is lunch and I read the news on the interwebs (I am a news junkie - I read them all CNN, MSANBC, Fox etc I also read the gossip sites) I may blog like I am today.

3 pm afternoon snack - usually a Luna Bar

5pm - day's over workwise - if I don't have errands to run or gandbaby sitting to do I workout in my office and leave at 6

6:30pm at home and starting dinner

7:00 chill for a bit watching tv usually a Criminal Minds, CSI or Big Bang episode - they are always in reruns or something I DVR-ed.

8: 00pm - shower time so I can have time to dry and tame my hair for the next day.

Between 10 and 11 pm is bedtime.

Thursday Musings - 6 Weeks into Stay at Home Orders

I seriously can not believe we have been "sheltering in place" for 6 freaking weeks now, and I say this as an "I'd rather...
