Currently - January 2020

Why does January seem like it is a decade long?? It's like January 74th by now, right? Christmas is over bring me SPRING!! I am tired of being cold and wearing 57 layers.

My first quarter at Purdue is going well. Its just stressful balancing pre-law classes with work and family time. These days my reading material comprises Constitutional law and Supreme Court cases which is why I have not taken part in an SUYB posts in a while, I can't remember the last time I read anything. I did finish an audiobook during my commutes to the office and home.

I am also starting the packing process to move in March. My theory is that the more I can pre-do now the easier the process will be in March as I will just be starting a new round of classes. We have not found a house yet, so the move is a temporary move. I just didn't want to one sign another year lease or two pay more for a six-month lease.  I will say house-hunting only looks fun on an HGTV show.  Just me? Ok..  I have learned that I really want more of a turn key property - I don't have the patience for "fixer-upper" that doesn't come with Chip and Joanna to drive it!

Another thing I have had little time for is TV, but I have really gotten into the Netflix original You.. Oh My! Anyone else watching this?

My Christmas tree and decor are still up - because SCHOOL. Considering just wrapping it in saran wrap or tossing it over the balcony and shutting the door!

The Jeep needs an oil change - again time.  Hell, I even stopped getting my nails done and my roots are waving for attention.  I started doing my own dip nails at home because I can do that at 11 at night in my jammies while re-watching the seminar for one of my classes to prep for the quiz.

Looking for something new to binge watch on Netflix. I got caught up on Orange is the New Black and am waiting for the next season to drop in a few weeks.


I saw Solo last weekend - loved it and thinking about going to see it again..



This weekend I am headed back to the farm for a late 4th of July party and graduation party. I have a few details - but the grad is headed to college studying robotics engineering  - for which he and the teams placed in the national comps.. All I can say is it will be epic!  A trebuchet has been built  - and since it is out in the middle of nowhere - there have been professional grade fireworks purchased.

Wishing it was Friday - its been a crazy week.

Looking forward to the end of May when I have a mini vacation of sorts.. add the weekend and Memorial Day in and I am off for 5 days.

I am also looking forward to Grey's tonight.. Last week left me reaching for Kleenex and strangely I am curious to see how they moved forward with Derek gone. I know I'll be on Twitter cussing Shonda though.

This weekend I will probably find us over at my sister in laws helping her paint. The weather is supposed to be nice after 3 plus weeks of rain. That will be a nice change.

Doing/Working on: At work I just finished editing policy and giving employee reviews. At home: I have been working on my genealogy project. Last night I borrowed some old documents from my mom to fill in some dates. She let me use my grandfathers Army discharge papers.

Watching: I am not binge watching anything at the moment. That changes when Orange is the New Black comes back this summer.. Thursday night still remails my fave TV nigh.. Greys then Scandal.

Favorite Show: Scandal and Who Do You Think You Are.


Loving: This new nail polish I got last weekend its OPI Meet me at the Star Ferry. It is one of my new favorites..

It really shimmers in sunlight and had a slight metallic finish.

Pinning: Lately my Pins on Pintrest have all been decorating, healthy eating and of course the British Royals.

Favorite music: These days all the sound tracks from the 7 Son's of Anarchy seasons are on repeat as well as Maroon 5's newest album. Coming from the speakers right now however, on Spotify is Linkin Park In the End.. Yep old schooling it this morning.

Looking forward to this weekend. Hoping to find new boots - last year I couldn't find anything I liked so I didn't replace my old pair - just wore them out a little more. So I really need to find ones this year.

I'm also hanging out with little man this weekend. I am taking him to get a haircut then headed out to play as long as the weather holds - if not we will be hitting the local mall where there is an indoor playground.

I'm laughing way to hard at this..

Wanting to reorganize my house and get rid of some more things. I'd love to get a new couch and a rug for the living room. i am also seriously sick of the mini blind look and want curtains - at the moment that's the easiest to solve so that just may happen Saturday!

Worried about my mom - something is up that she is not sharing. All she will say is I will let you know when I have the answers.
