Where did Summer go??

WOW long time no blog. Sorry things really are insane right now. We are super swamped at the office and I also have a TON of things going on in my personal life at the moment and there isn't a slow down in sight for months. I'm a little bummed that I pretty much have missed summer. Summer is my hands down favorite time of the year.

I love warmer weather, longer days, shorts and flip flops. Hot dogs on the grill, laid back weekend nights hanging with friends in the drive way laughing and talking until 1 am.   Spur of the moment cook outs - in short memories made.

Fall just seems busier with everyone trying to get things done before winter sets in. School starts, schedules kick in, people start thinking/stressing over holidays and getting it all done before the bad weather hits and stays. Before you know it your snowed in, freezing and everything is grey and slushy.

I plan to enjoy what is left of Summer and hang on to the warmth as long as possible before the harsh reality of snow boots, sleet, sub zero temps and a cranky KayLynn season starts.

Its Ok Thursday

That I broke out the white jeans and white canvas keds early so I could wear my mint green and white cardigan.

That I want to crawl under my desk and nap - and its only 8:45 am  (been woke up early 2 days in a row).

That I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow - bring on 70+ degree weather and pedicures please!

That I bought new flip flops for this summer already.

That I love the links that show what the rich and famous look like BEFORE someone photoshops the shit out of their pictures.

That I have not worked out once this week. Don't get me started on the clusterfuck that has been this week.

That I dropped my first fbomb in a long time on here - hell I do it daily in real life why the hell not here.

That I have SO fricken much to do after all the tech issues this week that I have no clue as where to begin with it. - So I better just begin..

Goodbye January ... Hello February

So glad to see January go .. it means we are 1 month closer to Spring!!! I abhor winter. I hate being cold.  For 9 months out of the year I do like where I live. Its a beautiful city. Its the 3 months of winter that make me dream of Belize and relocating.  I'm just not a 4 seasons  person. I like summer and slightly cooler summer :-)

Yes I am aware it could be worse and I could live where it snows more and gets colder - ah hell no I couldn't nor would I.. I'm such a warm weather person that the reason for me to move to an even colder climate would have to be pretty compelling - at this point the only other place I'd consider is back to Colorado Springs - which I have always considered home. Until now its the place I had lived for any length of time.


Don't get me wrong I do like Kansas City - its a beautiful city, its not called the City of Fountains for nothing. We have the most fountains in the city in the US and in the Spring and Summer its nice to walk downtown and check them out.  I like walking out of a store in the evening and feeling the day just starting to slip away the heat dissipating and the sun setting, the smell after a summer rain. You just don't get that with snow.
